A Town Called Verity
An old veteran sits on the steps of town hall, wondering where you've been.
This is the town, the town called Verity,
Yet this is the House of Lies.
And you enter that house, that House of Lies,
The veteran cannot come with you, however,
For he has been ostracised for exposing the deceit which lay under the mayor's tongue.
You see the mayor walking towards you now, as he walks straight out the front door.
The town gathered forth to watch the veteran's execution,
And with him, the death of truth.
For everything is shielded while nothing is shielded,
Isn't that the truth?
